Your engaged! Congratulations!! ✨

I know you've got a lot of planning ahead of you. It can feel so overwhelming at times with all the decisions that come with a wedding!

So, let's talk about one of those decision you have to make ... who's going to photograph your engagement? Your wedding? My hope is that I am able to bring you closer to checking this off your "to do" list.

1. The first tip I could give you is make sure you and your photographer match. It's important to feel comfortable with your photographer + to make sure that your photographer is capturing what YOU are looking for. It's important to connect + your photographer to create a strong relationship so that when it comes time for your wedding day, you feel comfortable. And don't forget to discuss all the things (i.e. editing style, price, etc).

2. Schedule your photoshoot in advance. It is probably a good protocol to contact no less than a month. There could be an opening but you definitely do not want to procrastinate too late. Good chance you could be turned away from a photographer you were really wanting because he/she is already booked for that day.

3. Consider having your hair done or having a mani/pedi (sounds like a girls day for me)

4. Discuss LOCATION - do not hesitate to let your photographer know what you are thinking about as far as location goes... OR if you do not have a clue on a location ask your photographer. More than likely they will have several spots in mind for what you are looking for.

5. Your wardrobe is super important in your photos! Nothing kills a photo more than clashing colors, crazy patterns, etc.) Do not hesitate to choose your outfits and ask your photographer their opinion on the outfits. Bring two outfits! I always suggest having a dressed up outfit and a casual outfit.

6. The last and most important tip of all HAVE FUN! You are about to make memories for a lifetime + you'll reflect on your engagement session for years to come!

I hope these tips help you prepare for your engagement session. I absolutely love capturing the love between two people... it is such an important chapter in your life & then an even bigger chapter when you two become ONE.

If you have any questions please don't hesitate to reach out - I would be happy to help!
